I am a software engineer with a focus on iOS apps as well as web and backend applications. Currently, I am based in Vienna, Austria Dublin, Ireland San Francisco, CA.

In July of 2015 I joined Asana. I strive daily to improve the experience of our iOS users as part of Asana’s mobile team. I operate out of the Dublin San Francisco office.

Prior to moving to Dublin, I lived in Vienna and enjoyed creating software for various companies. If you live in Austria it’s quite likely that you have used an app or visited a website that I was involved in creating. Most notably the KURIER.at mobile website and iPhone app, film.at iOS app, events.at, and GaultMillau.at Gourmetguide iOS app.

Two things that are very important to me are user experience and performance. Also, I think that code quality matters–a lot. I like to work in strong teams where every line of code gets peer reviewed in order to build better software.

The programming languages I have most experience with are Swift, Objective-C, Scala, Java, JavaScript, and PHP. That said, I have worked with many different languages and technologies since 1998–the year I first wrote a line of code.

While I was living in Vienna, I was the lead organizer of the Vienna Scala User Group with over 200 members and also co-organized the local Papers We Love meetup.

I hold a master's degree in Software Engineering & Internet Computing from the Vienna University of Technology. Prior to that, I received a bachelor's degree in Media Technology and Design from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Campus Hagenberg.

My interests consist of technology, business, and science. I travel a lot. I like to listen to music, especially live. I'm madly in love with my Kindle and try to read as many books as I can. Also, I enjoy going to the movies.
